What is TCM?
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a practice of medicine that has been used for thousands of years in China. TCM is based on your body’s harmony, balance, and energy. It does not focus on medicine and science. The treatments are focused on ways to promote and maintain the flow of Qi (energy).
The belief is that your body is an essential energy (Qi) and must be kept in balance to maintain good health. This is the yin and yang in your system. They are opposites that describe the qualities of Qi. Everything in life has a little bit of its opposite, and we need the balance to keep the harmony.
According to TCM, when the Qi of yin and yang are balanced, you feel healthy. If disrupted, this creates a ripple affect through your whole system.
Current studies have shown that in the recent years more people have chosen TCM as their primary health care resource for a wide range of health issues.
